I've know Simon for over thirty years. We met at University in Newcastle, and shared a flat for 3 years. Simon and Jason were my first friends from "down south". We bonded quickly and became firm friends. Simon was a lovely guy. Gentle, funny, self-effacing and very clever. Lots of great memories ... drinking, student nights, trips to Whitley Bay, drinking, borrowing his notes from lectures I missed due to the afore mentioned. I loved ribbing him about his music, even though I secretly quite liked it. Dancing with him on my shoulders to Vic Reeves and the Wonderstuff at various establishments throughout the toon was always a hightlight. Those were our wonder years. A special time. It's where he met Caroline, and where we ruled the world. I'll miss you buddy. God bless x
