Simon was my boss for about 3 years. I will always be grateful for the guidance and mentoring he provided over that period, early in my career. He was never fazed by problems and whenever I told him I had made a mistake he would just help fix it and move on, trusting me to learn. We also developed a friendship outside of work based around our love of running and cycling. We would frequently run around the East London canals at lunchtimes and used to race each other up the Isle of Dogs when our morning cycling commutes coincided. I am deeply saddened by what has happened but Simon will always be remembered . My thoughts are with his family at this difficult time.
